RSA: Sales presentation builder

Close x

When teams collaborate by email, projects take longer and are more difficult to manage – creating ‘busy work’ like chasing people for answers, and hunting for the latest file version.

RSA – a FTSE 100 business, with a 300 year history – had this issue with their sales teams, who had to collaborate across multiple sites to generate a tender document, and then send the final doc to a design agency for typesetting.

We created a custom web app to streamline this process. Managers could create a new tender document, allocating chapters to other team members – along with deadlines for delivery, of which the system would remind them.

A custom digital asset management (DAM) platform centralised all sales data and imagery for easy searching and use within a document.

By using predefined brand and page templates, users had full control of look and feel – with no need for a design agency. Pages can employ a variety of page templates (as in Powerpoint), and page numbering is automatic – in a PDF output.

All saving significant time & expense, while reducing the risk of mistakes and delays.

“By using a predefined brand and page templates, users had full control of look and feel – with no need for a design agency.”

A4e: 'Superstars' employee engagement campaign

Close x

Training business A4e employs over 3000 staff in 6 countries. Building on our employee engagement and social business experience we created the concept of 'A4e Superstars’ to help focus, motivate and reward their teams.

Designed and built by us - and hosted within the company intranet - it aimed to find, celebrate and reward the company’s ‘Superstars’. Leaderboards clearly showed the weekly performance of contract teams against KPI's. Points meant prizes, with weekly 'parcel unwraps' to win small value items.

All content and weekly activity, including prizes and campaign parameters were fully controlled by the A4e team using a control panel.

The results speak for themselves:

  • Staff performance nominations were up from 2-3 per month to 300 a month
  • 95% of branches showed a performance increase of at least 10%
  • It played an important part in reducing staff turnover from 38% to 29% year-on-year
“95% of branches showed a performance increase of at least 10%.”

Activision: digital asset management

Close x

With masses of electronic assets to be distributed all over Europe, to hundreds of stakeholders, solid digital asset management (DAM) platform is key for the leading name in games, Activision.

Building on our core Toolkit technology we created a customised solution which is extremely simple and clear - and all the more powerful for it.

Multiple digital assets are quickly tagged, uploaded and published by the marketing teams. Google-esque search quickly brings responses, easily filtered by different criteria. Users can then add to basket, for grouped download. Predictive search lists the most popular assets on the screen.

Assets themselves can be restricted to groups, or individual users. Indeed an asset and/or group of assets can be sent as a direct-download link (like ‘YouSendIt’) which expires after a set time.

“Action logs create real-time analytics of activity and downloads. These give real management insight and control.”

American Express: social gaming, brand engagement

‘The Great American Express Gold Rush’ was the UK’s first ever fantasy gold trading game on Facebook. Designed to reflect the benefits of the Gold Card, the game let players to purchase a variety of gold items including chains, rings, coins and bars before they jet across the globe to trade their stock and turn a profit.

After 4 weeks, the game had been played over 14000 times with players trading millions of virtual credits. Each player competing to win a daily prize, and an ultimate prize of gold bullion bars worth £10,000.

With each game averaging over 8 minutes, the campaign produced over 200 days of brand exposure through the 30 day competition, and received massive on and offline press coverage.

The site included full analytics including reporting on trades made, locations visited, money made, bounce rates and gameplay time allowing us to monitor and review gameplay and app usage.

In addition, the game has been used as an internal communications tool, and promotional device with key bloggers.

“After 4 weeks, the game had been played over 14000 times with players trading millions of virtual credits.”

Volvo: Snowbombing Release Your Rockstar

Close x

Promoting the 12th year of Volvo Snowbombing, we designed & built a Facebook app which let users create their own rock star ‘alter ego’, to win a range of prizes.

Rock stars were composed by using bespoke illustrated male and female body parts, features, clothes, and accessories.

The illustrations were then posted to the user’s Facebook wall and friends asked to Like them – the more Likes, the greater the chance of winning. The ultimate winner was chosen by top DJ Fatboy Slim.

To reach a wider European audience, the app was translated from English into French, Italian German and Spanish.

To help promote the event, we designed and built the ‘Snowbombing Roadtrip’ web site – which tracked music acts like Professor Green & Example as they traversed Europe in the Volvo S60 & V60!

“Over 4400 avatars were created (approximately 160 per day), with 11,000 ‘likes’ from 120 countries.”

Servisair: Global, social, business.

Close x

With 20,000 employees in over 250 offices, Servisair is one of the biggest players in aviation. We created their Intranet – the central hub of global internal communications.

Toolkit's CMS is visual, and extremely easy to use. This meant that remote video-conference training could quickly prepare their team on how best to use it. The result?

A vibrant global community, sharing information both work-related & personal; the very epitome of effective digital asset management. The Intranet also features carefully constructed rights & access management – so only certain users can view certain information (filtered by their status and geography), important when considering different policies & contracts across territories.

We also built their corporate site www.servisair.com and cargo handling site www.servisaircargo.com.

“Local Pages allow individual offices to create their own micro-sites within the Intranet – using the Toolkit. content management system (CMS).”

BIBC: Box Office 365 brand, design, build

Close x

BIBC has been at the forefront of the IPTV revolution for over 6 years. Its Box Office 365 brand delivers subscription and pay per view content such as CNN and Boing!

We worked with their in house tech teams to design the user journey, graphic interface and web platform. This delivers their digital content channel on Phillips, Samsung & Toshiba televisions.

An animated interface for browsing content was designed specifically for the platform in order to use only the standard TV remote. We also designed a simple to use on-screen virtual keyboard, complete with coloured button shortcuts.

Our solution included a payment, user account and subscription management system, all HBBTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) standards compliant. The application used a combination of technologies including Html5, Javascript, Ajax Loading and Css Animations. With web service calls made through XmlHttpRequests and returned data in Json format.
